Art Full-Text
Provides full-text articles from more than 270 peer-selected publications about Latin American, Canadian, Asian, and non-Western art. It indexes and abstracts of over 600 periodicals as far back as 1984, including 260 peer-reviewed journals and over 18,000 art dissertations. Researchers can track the careers of artists, review their materials and methods, and find books by them, as well as interviews, profiles, and much more.
Art Index Retrospective
Covering content for the years 1929 - 1984 of art journalism, this retrospective resource includes articles, interviews, reviews and much more from over 600 publications.It features coverage of English-language periodicals, yearbooks and museum bulletins published in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Dutch.
ARTstor
Digital image database containing over 1 million images in the areas of art, architecture, and design.
AskART
AskART is an online database containing over 155,000 artists. From its inception the focus was on American artists from the early 16th-Century through the present. However, in January of 2007 the database has expanded to include international artists' auction records.
Avery Index
Most comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture and design, history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation and interior design and decoration. Indexes articles from nearly 800 US and foreign architectural journals published worldwide, 75% of which are not indexed in any other source. Includes articles from previous electronic version as well as records converted from Avery Library card file, with records dating from the 1860s to the present. Bibliography of the History of Art
The Bibliography of the History of Art indexes and abstracts articles, art-related books, conference proceedings, dissertations, and art exhibition and dealer's catalogs. The Berg Fashion Library offers fully cross-searchable access to an expanding range of Berg content collections – including the Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion online, e-books, reference works, images, and much more.
Design and Applied Arts Index (DAAI)
Indexes over 500 journals that cover industrial design, interior design, fashion, graphic design, typography, packaging, etc., since 1973. Supplementary databases provide contact information for craft & design organizations, special collections of design & craft, design & craft education programs, and periodicals. GreenFILE
a database which focuses on the relationship between human beings and the environment. Comprised of more than 600 scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports. It offers a perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect the ecology. The total number of records is approximately 295,000, and full text is provided for more than 4,600 records from open access titles. Also included in GreenFILE is a 6,800-term Thesaurus.

Sanborn Maps
The Pratt Library maintains a subscription to a Digital Sanborn Maps Database that contains current Sanborn Maps for Manhattan and Brooklyn. Access to this database is available at selected public-access computers throughout the library. Each terminal has a sign that says, “Sanborn Maps available here.”
Sanborn Maps are detailed fire insurance maps that include important architectural information such as, house and block number, the composition of building materials including the framing, flooring, and roofing materials, outlines of each building and outbuilding, the location of windows and doors, street names, street and sidewalk widths, property boundaries, fire walls, building use, indications of sprinkler systems, locations of fire hydrants, location of water and gas mains and the names of most public buildings.
